Take your monotype printmaking to the next level! In this 5-week class, you’ll build on foundational skills to explore more complex compositions, layering, and textural effects. Experiment with both planned and improvisational approaches—painterly marks, stenciling, ghost prints, and mixed-media techniques—to create one-of-a-kind prints. Bring your own sketches, photos, or abstract ideas and learn how to push them further through additive and subtractive methods, layering, and creative experimentation. All levels are welcome, and students who have taken an introductory monotype class will find plenty of opportunities to deepen their practice.
